ANNECY, French Alps

Getting to Annecy :

Annecy is readily accessed by all means of transport. From your point of origin, there are several possibilities to reach Annecy. The most convenient way is to arrive in Geneva (Switzerland), the nearest city where there is an international airport. From Geneva, you can take a bus or a special shuttle service available at Geneva airport to Annecy, or a taxi or even rent a car.
Annecy is also accessible from either Lyon or Paris.

 

From Geneva

Airplane :

Taxi (45 mn) :

Buses (1h15 mn) :

Regular buses from Geneva Cornavin station bus stop to Annecy downtown bus station. To reach Cornavin station from Geneva International Airport, you can take a regular train (departs every 10 min.). From there, regular buses pick you up at the Cornavin bus stop (departure at the Dorcière bus station) to Annecy.

Car rental (45 mn) :

From Lyon

Airplane :

TGV Train (1h50 mn) :

From Lyon St-Exupery, very few trains are available to go to Annecy. To organize your journey, you should visit the train website on www.sncf.com

Buses (2h)

The Satobus network connects Lyon-St Exupéry Airport with Annecy several times a day. The journey takes approximately 2 hours.
Buses run around every 2 hours between 9 a.m. and 9 p.m. Return journeys from Annecy run between 6 a.m. and 5 p.m. A Satobus counter is at your service from 7 a.m. to 9:30 p.m. and is located in the airport central hall at level 1. For Annecy, reservations are a must and can be made through “Voyages Crolard” (+33 (0)4 50 51 08 51or www.voyages-crolard.com) or on the website: www.altibus.com. The cost for a one way ticket is approximately 32 €.
