GETTING TO ANNECY

Annecy is readily accessed by all forms of transport. From your point of origin, there are several possibilities to arrive in Annecy. The most convenient way is to arrive at Geneva (Switzerland), the nearest city (where there is an international airport). From Geneva, you can take a bus or a special shuttle service available from Geneva airport for Annecy, or even rent a car.
Annecy is also accessible from either Lyon or Paris. From these two cities the train would be the cheapest and most convenient way to arrive in Annecy. To organize your journey you should visit the train website at www.sncf.com

Available transport from Geneva International Airport to Annecy:

Geneva International airport: (+41 22 717 71 11 and www.gva.ch) is located 40 km from Annecy. Transfers to Annecy are available by taxi, bus or by car:

1. Personalized transfer directly through different companies based in Annecy and who are specialized in airport transfers. The driver will pick you up at the exit of the terminal and will drive you to your hotel. The companies are the following (with pre-booking only):

2. Regular lines: Regular buses depart from the bus station in downtown Geneva at Dorcière place. To get there, you have to take:
- A regular shuttle Bus No 10 (departs every 10 minutes) from the airport that goes to the station. The Dorcière station is located 200 meters from the bus stop.
- A regular train from the airport station to Cornavin station downtown. The Dorcière station is located 800 meters from there.

3. Cars can be hired from Europcar (http://www.europcar.com) or Avis (http://www.avis.com), Rent a car (http://www.rentacar.fr) or Hertz (http://www.hertz.fr/opodo). Annecy is approximately 40 km from Geneva.

The airport of Lyon St-Exupéry : (+33 (0)4 72 22 72 21 and http://www.lyon.aeroport.fr/ is located 100 km from Annecy. Annecy can easily be accessed by bus or taxi as outlined below :

1. The Satobus network connects Lyon-St Exupéry airport with Annecy several times a day. The journey takes approximately 1hour 50 mins. Buses run around every 2 hours between 8:45 am and 7:45 pm. Return journeys from Annecy run between 5:40 am and 5:20 pm. A Satobus counter is at your service from 7 am to 10 pm and is located in the airport central hall at level 1. For Annecy, reservations are a must and can be made through “Voyage Crolard” (+33 (0)4 50 51 08 51) or on the website: www.altibus.com. The cost for a one way ticket is approximately 32 Euros.

2. Annecy Meythet airport is located 6km from the centre of Annecy Cars can be hired from Europcar (http://www.europcar.com), Avis (http://www.avis.com), Rent a car (http://www.rentacar.fr) or Hertz (http://www.hertz.fr/opodo) amongst others. Annecy is approximately 100-140 km from Lyon.
