History
  • 09/2023: Motorcycle accident → Brachial plexus injury (C5–C7)
  • 03/2024: Nerve surgery:
    • SSN: graft from C6
    • Axillary nerve: IC nerve transfers
    • Elbow flexion: Ulnar to biceps and Median to brachialis branches
    • Elbow extension: IC nerve to long head of triceps motor branch
  • 10/2024: Restoration of hand function:
    • Extension of wrist, fingers, and thumb via multiple tendon transfers
Physical Exam
  • 1. Good elbow and hand recovery (FM: 4/5)
  • 2. Good scapulothoracic stability and mobility
  • 3. BUT no glenohumeral active mobility and stability → NON-functional shoulder → Impossible use of the hand
