The incredibly fast developments in shoulder surgery means that we have better knowledge about arthroscopic anatomy, better analysis of the pathologies and more technical possibilities for repair. Science is moving so fast! -and we want to share that with you for the best of our patients. I want to thank the wonderful international faculty of the best shoulder surgeons who accepted, once again, to come to Annecy to share with you their expert techniques, skill, and their passion for shoulder surgery! I want to thank our commercial partners for their technical and financial contributions and their great participation!
The aim of the meeting remains the same since the 1st edition: to show through 35 LIVE SURGERIES the most up-to-date techniques, to learn how to approach different situations and difficulties, all managed by the best experts and moderated by each other. This is real transparent, state of the art of the shoulder surgery. As usual we will start and finish on time, despite the difficulties of the surgeries which can and will certainly happen as they did happen during the 5 previous meeting for a few surgeries. The way the best worldwide surgeons react and perform in front of these difficulties is certainly one of the most interesting and instructive highlights of this meeting. The moderators will be the permanent link between the audience and the surgeon. All surgical management of the shoulder pathologies will be shown, but this year time will be dedicated to some LIVE CLINICAL CASES.
As in 2011, 2013 and 2015, a permanent, simultaneous LIVE VIRTUAL 3D SHOULDER will help to better assess the anatomy and pathology being treated under the arthroscopic 2D image. So welcome in Annecy to the seventh ‘Woodstock of shoulder surgery !
Amitiés, Laurent Lafosse
